Beginning in early April 2020 as the Covid-19 Shelter in Place order began, I started this series of small paintings that grew to a collection of 60 pieces. I had recently moved to a small village in the high desert of Northern New Mexico and I worked in solitude for many months. These works are a documentation of sorts; with the figures depicted in different states of relationship to the times and conditions. I think of them as my front line workers; sending out prayers of care and protection to the world at large.
Selection of Works; Acrylic, Wax, Paper and a few with flower petals and string on 4.5 x 8 in. Panel.
